Give a prospective client something useful before they ever book a call.
We help law firms create branded ebooks, checklists, and practical guides that answer a focused question.
Think of a first consultation checklist, a guide to gathering documents, or a simple overview of what to expect when working with your firm.
We help organize the content, design the pages, and prepare a downloadable resource for your website, email, and social channels.
Your team reviews the legal wording and makes sure the guidance fits your practice.
Start with one audience and one useful next step.
I'm Chris Costa with Legal Search Marketing.
Let's create a resource people will want to keep.
A useful lead magnet gives someone an answer they can keep. For a law firm, that might be a first consultation checklist, a guide to gathering documents, or a short overview of what to expect when working with the team.
I help firms organize the content, design the pages, and prepare downloadable ebooks, checklists, and practical guides for their website, email, and social channels. Start with one audience, one question, and one useful next step.
Choose a question your team already answers
Look at the questions that come up before a consultation. What do people forget to bring? Which part of the process is confusing? What can you explain in advance so someone arrives better prepared?
A first resource can be small. Two clear pages may be more useful than a long ebook when the reader only needs a preparation list. A fuller guide makes sense when the topic benefits from examples, sections, or a worksheet.
Possible starting points include:
- A first consultation preparation checklist.
- A document-gathering guide built around the firm's approved instructions.
- A plain-English introduction to working with the firm.
- A worksheet that helps someone organize questions before a call.
- A guide to a firm's administrative process or available services.
Your lawyers review legal wording and confirm that the material fits the practice. We can focus the first version on preparation and process rather than trying to answer every legal question in one download.
Build the content around a useful result
Decide what the reader should be able to do after using the resource. That result gives the outline a purpose. A consultation checklist should help someone prepare. A worksheet should leave them with notes they can bring to a conversation.
We organize the material into short sections, readable headings, and examples where they help. Writing space matters for a worksheet; a list of instructions alone is not always enough. We also make the next step clear, whether that is booking a call, reading a related article, or bringing the completed sheet to the firm.
Design for the way people will use it
A colorful digital guide and a printable checklist can serve different needs. The guide can carry the firm's visual identity, while the checklist uses a simpler layout with room to write and less ink on the page.
We can prepare a PDF for direct download and check that its links work. If you want an email request form, that delivery path needs to be configured and tested too: the form, confirmation message, download link, and follow-up wording should all agree.
See a real example: the AI Opportunity Checklist
Our own AI Opportunity resource starts with a narrow question: where could AI help your firm? The two-page checklist helps a team list recurring tasks, check existing tools, and choose one small pilot. The six-page workbook gives more room to compare ideas and define how the result will be reviewed.
Download the free AI Opportunity Checklist and workbook. It is an example of pairing a useful giveaway with a relevant next step: our $499 AI Assessment, which includes two Zoom calls and a firm-specific report.
Connect the resource to content people can find
A download works best with a short explanation of who it is for and how to use it. We can build a companion article, an introduction video, and social copy that points to the resource. Each piece should describe the same benefit and use the same working link.
The resource can also support existing conversations: send it before a consultation, link to it in a relevant email, or place it on a service page. Track downloads and inquiries if you want to learn how people use it, without assuming the giveaway guarantees new clients.
Start with one resource your team can stand behind
We scope the content, page count, design, review, and delivery format together. Additional formats and website or email setup depend on the project. Explore ebooks and lead magnets for lawyers, or tell me which question your team keeps answering. We can turn that into a practical first resource.
