A Chicago lawyer accused of cursing and engaging in improper behaviour during a performance review -- after which he was fired -- has won a US$300,000 defamation lawsuit against his employer. Daniel Popko, a trial specialist for CNA Financial Corp., was fired after a supervisor accused him of using profanity and becoming belligerent during a performance review that was unfavourable.
